Barcoding
Barcoding software is included in all our family of products. You will need
to purchase a barcode reader; some models are available directly from SoftTouch
Solutions Inc., pricing available on our Canadian Fee Structure and US Fee Structure pages.
FrameReady utilizes barcoding in three areas:
1. Barcodes on Frame and Mat Corner Samples:
Many vendors are now adding barcodes to the existing labels of their
moulding and matboard corner samples. FrameReady, FrameReady Multi Site and
FrameReady Lite allow for easy entry of
these barcodes into the Work Order function for instant pricing. This
feature promotes speed and accuracy.
What if your samples do not have barcodes? Many vendors have not yet
barcoded their samples. We have solved this problem by providing easy to use
sequential number barcode labels to apply to any of your corner samples not
currently barcoded. Labels are 80 per page and we will keep track of the
last number you order.
Even if you don’t have a barcode scanner you can still use these labels to
speed up your data entry time.
2. Barcodes as shop management tools:
FrameReady, FrameReady Multi Site and FrameReady Lite generate barcodes on Work Orders and Art Identification Tags.
This tool makes it easy to find the customer’s order on the computer screen.
3. Barcodes on retail products:
FrameReady allows you to store and read any readymade product or giftware
with existing barcodes. FrameReady is equipped with label creation software
to produce your own stylized labels for all your retail products.
