The Problem

After using an iPad or iPhone to snap a photo into FrameReady, the photo does not appear or, if it does appear, it is garbled.

The Solution

Apple has updated iOS devices to support “High Efficiency” photos in the HEIF format. However, this format cannot yet be read by all or any computer.

The solution is to disable “High Efficiency”:

1. On the iOS device, open the “Settings” app
2. Tap into the “Camera” settings
3. Look for “Format” and change from “High Efficiency” to “Most Compatible”
