Price Multiple Openings with Fillets
Follow these steps to add multiple openings to a Work Order as well as to price out the fillets surrounding each.
How to Price Multiple Openings with Fillets
-
On paper, draw out the openings; for each opening, write down its width and height.
-
Write down the distance between the multiple openings.
-
Calculate the total width and height of all the openings and the spaces between them. Don't include the outside mat margins just yet.
-
      Create a new Work Order.
-
Enter the total width and height (this should not include the mat margins).
-
      Enter the outside mat margins.
-
      Add your moulding.
-
      Add your matboard(s).
-
In the Extra Openings field, enter the total number of openings minus one (FrameReady always assumes there is one opening).

For example, if you have six openings, enter 5 into the field.
-
      Click the underlined Other label.

 The Other Details window appears.
-
Enter a Description, such as "Multiple Openings with Fillet" and click the Add Item button.
-
If all or any of your openings are identically sized, then adjust the Qty field; otherwise leave it as is.
-
In the Item field, search or add your fillet.
-
In the Size fields, add the width to the first field, add the height to the second field.
-
Fillet is priced by the foot, so do not change the Unit of Measure.
-
To add another opening, click the Next Item button.
-
Click Done when all openings have been added.
-
When you print the Work Order, a second page describing the Other items is included. We recommend drawing a diagram of the openings on this sheet.
