Price Multiple Openings with Fillets

Follow these steps to add multiple openings to a Work Order as well as to price out the fillets surrounding each.

How to Price Multiple Openings with Fillets

  1. On paper, draw out the openings; for each opening, write down its width and height.

  2. Write down the distance between the multiple openings.

  3. Calculate the total width and height of all the openings and the spaces between them. Don't include the outside mat margins just yet.

  4. Create a new Work Order.

  5. Enter the total width and height (this should not include the mat margins).

  6. Enter the outside mat margins.

  7. Add your moulding.

  8. Add your matboard(s).

  9. In the Extra Openings field, enter the total number of openings minus one (FrameReady always assumes there is one opening).

For example, if you have six openings, enter  5  into the field.

  10. Click the underlined Other label.

    The Other Details window appears.

  11. Enter a Description, such as "Multiple Openings with Fillet" and click the Add Item button.

  12. If all or any of your openings are identically sized, then adjust the Qty field; otherwise leave it as is.

  13. In the Item field, search or add your fillet.

  14. In the Size fields, add the width to the first field, add the height to the second field.

  15. Fillet is priced by the foot, so do not change the Unit of Measure.

  16. To add another opening, click the Next Item button.

  17. Click Done when all openings have been added.

  18. When you print the Work Order, a second page describing the Other items is included. We recommend drawing a diagram of the openings on this sheet.
