This small trick will help you locate a customer by their email address.

• The  @  symbol used in email addresses is also used in FileMaker as a wildcard to search for missing characters. For instance, if you were looking for something that ends in 'bert', then you could search for  @bert  and FileMaker would find Dogbert and Dilbert.

How to Find a Customer by their Email Address

There are three different methods you can use to find an email address:

• Use a double equal sign:  ==info@frameready.com 

• Use quotes around the entire address:  "info@frameready.com" 

• Use the escape  \  character:  info\@frameready.com
