If your Due Date has moved forward beyond the number of days in your turn around, then you may be experiencing Due Date Creep.
If the Due Date on your Work Order has moved forward beyond the number of days in your turn around, then you may be experiencing "Due Date Creep."
Your Due Date on the Work Order is determined by the number of Business Days you are open. If you only have two or three days selected for when customers can schedule a pickup, then it will move ahead faster.
Also, if you have a number of larger orders that exceeded your 30 orders per day, then it will roll over to the next date each time, e.g. 31 orders in one day will roll you forward one day. However, if the next day is only 10, it will not keep you on that due date until you reach 30. Over a number of months, this will gradually push your dates ahead.
In the Setup Data file on the Main Menu do one or more of the following:
Make sure that the dates are checked for all of the days when a customer can pickup an order.
Increase the Max Pieces per Day. You may be doing a higher volume than you realize.
Change the Last Due Date. You can click on the calendar icon to the right of the “Last Due Date” field and move it back to an earlier date, e.g. If today is Sept. 1 and your Last Due Date is Sept. 22, then click the calendar icon and change the Last Due Date to Sept. 15.
