Code Tables Overview
Over the years, many framers had developed sophisticated charts or tables to price their frame components. However, some of these tables could not be readily translated into a formula to work in FrameReady. And therefore Code Tables were invented.

What is a Code Table?

A Code Table is a simple, spreadsheet-like grid or matrix of fixed sizes and an associated retail price. A set dollar amount is associated with the UI and the fixed size measure (the fixed size is referred to as XY).

A Code Table provides a way of duplicating previously used charts and other arbitrary pricing schemes.

Each Code Table requires a short code-name, e.g. LW12 or CANVAS01

How does FrameReady use Code Tables?

FrameReady uses Code Tables to price items by either:

the United Inch,
-
a fixed size, e.g. 8×10, 11×14, 16×20, etc. that we call XY,

or by a Square Inch increment.

When FrameReady finds a Price Code item with an assigned Code Table, then it gives precedence to the Code Table price.

When using a Code Table, FrameReady ignores any values entered into the Markup, Set Price and Min Price fields.
When is a Code Table Useful?

Code Tables work best for items sold by fixed sizes or if you are trying to match an existing price chart.

The entire Code Table can be increased or decrease by percentage or you can manually adjust the price for each size listed in the table.
What else should I know?

Prices can be modified individually by clicking in the price field and entering an amount.

Simply by finding a record in the Price Codes, FrameReady can tell you if it is priced using a Code Table:
Important: When using a Code Table, FrameReady ignores any values entered into the Markup, Set Price and Min Price fields.

Use the Combine Formula and Code Pricing checkbox to use Code Tables with Cost, Markup, and Set Price (available only for Matboard, Mounting, Glass, Fabric).
