Repair a Damaged File

This feature is not available starting with FrameReady 11

WARNING: The Repair Method replaces the damaged file with a clean copy from the original FrameReady installer. If you have made any customizations to that file, they will be lost using the Repair Method. If this is the case, use the Recover Method or recover from a backup copy of FrameReady.

Repair a Damaged File in Mac OSX

Files cannot be repaired in Mac OSX.

Repair a Damaged File in Windows 7

Only available for FrameReady 10 or earlier.

  1. Close FrameReady and FileMaker Pro.

    If you receive error messages and open file boxes, then click Cancel until the program closes.

  2. Use File Explroer and go into your FrameReady folder.

    The default location is C:\Users\[User name]\FrameReady 11

Make sure the file is not Data01, Data02, Data03, Data04, Data05 or Data06. You must use Recover Method for those files.

  1. Right-click the damaged file(s) and select delete.

  2. From the Start menu, select Control Panel.

  3. Select Programs and Features.

    If this option is not visible, you need to select Programs, then Programs and Features.

  4. Scroll through the list of installed programs and single-click on your current version of FrameReady.

  5. Click the Repair button at the top of the window.

    Wait for any progress bars to finish.

  6. Re-open FrameReady.
