Step 3 when a Guest device is unable to connect to your FrameReady Host computer.
The following steps only apply if the above Ping Test was successful.
Open FileMaker Pro on the Guest computer.
Confirm that the version matches that of the Host computer.
Windows: Help > About FileMaker Pro
Mac: FileMaker Pro > About FileMaker Pro
If the versions do not match, then upgrade the Guest computer's FileMaker Pro so that it is the same version as the Host computer.
In the menu bar, choose File > Open Remote .
The Launch Center window appears.
Open the Hosts tab and, from the left panel, select the name of your Host computer.
A list of FrameReady files appears. If not, skip to Step 5.
Double-click Main Menu to open FrameReady.
If Hosts are listed but no files appear, then Check the Host Computer's Firewall.
If no Hosts are listed, then deselect the Star icon to show all files.
If you still see no files, then click the + icon at the bottom left of the Launch Center window.
The Add Favorite Host window appears.
Enter the IP addressof the Host computer in the Host's Internet Address field.
Give it a name and click Save.
In the left pane, single click the new favorite you just created. Then double-click Main Menu in the right pane.
Important: If the above steps do not open FrameReady, then it is likely that a firewall issue exists on the Host computer.
