Can I set up my own passwords to protect unauthorized access?

Yes! FrameReady comes with four levels of access. Each level is password protected and ranges from basic daily functions to programming access. You may also apply a security password to restrict access to selected areas of the program. You may also change the program passwords assigned by STS.

How do I change accounts while running?

During the business day if you wish to change levels, you can do so without closing the program and re-opening.

  1. Go to the Main Menu > Scripts menu > Relogin.
    A dialog box appears.
  2. Enter the preferred account and password.
  3. Click OK.

It takes FrameReady a few moments to close the files and reopen them with the new access level.

What do I do when I see the “File cannot share because FileMaker network sharing is turned off” dialog box when I first open FrameReady?

What this means is that the FrameReady files are set to multi-user. That is, the files may be shared over a network but the FileMaker Pro application is not set up to share any files.

If it is your intention to share the files AND you have the appropriate licensing agreement with Adatasol Inc., then:

  1. Click OK.
  2. Click Main MenuSet Up Data.
  3. Click Network tab.
  4. Click Set Files to Multi-user button and follow the on-screen prompts.

If it is not your intention to share the files, i.e. you are only using one computer:

  1. Click OK.
  2. Click Main MenuSet Up Data.
  3. Click Network tab.
  4. Click Set Files to Single-user button and follow the on-screen prompts.

This will resolve the conflict.

Is there a limit to the amount of information we can enter into FrameReady?

Generally, no. However, file size is usually limited to available space on your hard drive.

Can we export our reports and statements?

Yes. All printouts can be exported to Excel or sent as a PDF file.

Where is the button I use to update my vendor pricing?

The Update Vendor Pricing button is only available from the Main Menu, bottom right corner.
