Find by Date

There are several ways of performing a find using a date field.

  • You can find all records for a single day, or

  • all records in a given period, or

  • all records up to a certain date, or

  • all records after a certain date.

How to Find all records on a Single Day

  1. Click the Find button.

  2. Click in the date field and type the date using the format  MM/DD/YYYY

Note: Avoid using only two digits for the year when doing a find.

  3. Click the Perform Find button.

How to Find all records in a Given Period (Range of Days)

  1. Click the Find button.

  2. Click in the date field and type a date range, e.g.  MM/DD/YYYY…MM/DD/YYYY

Note: a date range is created by placing three periods between the first and last date in the range.

For example, 1/1/2018…3/1/2018 would find all records for the first quarter of 2018.

  1. Click the Perform Find button.

Tip: If the date range is an entire month, then you can skip the day field.

For example, to find the month of April 2018, use 4/2018.
