Printing Letters

How to Print a One Page Letter

There are a two ways to produce a letter to send to one customer.

Let’s suppose you have a customer who needs a reminder letter to pick up her custom framing.

Option 1: How to Print a One Page Letter

  1. Choose Main Menu > Print Letter

    A dialog box appears.

  2. Click Single.

    A second dialog box appears.

  3. Select either name or company by using the drop-down list. Click OK.

    The screen changes to a letterhead format with the customer’s name and address inserted in the appropriate place.

Note: FrameReady automatically inserts the customer’s first name (or the title and last name) after the salutation “Dear”. If the letter is addressed to a company, to the attention of someone, then the name of the person in the Attention field is inserted in the salutation. If the Attention and the name fields are blank, then the salutation will read as “Dear Sir/Madam”.

  1. From the blue drop-down list, click on the letter template “Pick up Framing – Playful”.

    The text of the template is inserted in the body of the letter.

  2. Make any changes to the text of your letter. Use the Spelling button to perform a spell check on your letter before printing.

Tip: To tab within the body of your letter, hold the down Option (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) and then press the Tab key.

  1. Click Print.

    A preview of how your letter will look will appear on the screen.

  2. Click the Continue button.

    A Print dialog box appears

  3. Click Print (Mac) or OK (Windows).

    The screen returns to the Main Menu.

Option 2: How to Print a One Page Letter

  1. Go to Contacts > Find.

  2. In the pink or blue arrow drop-down presents selection lists from which to choose the customer to whom you wish to send your letter. FrameReady inserts the ID# only. Click Perform Find button.

  3. Click Print Letter sidebar button.

    A letterhead format appears with the customer’s name and address inserted in the appropriate place.

  4. From the blue drop-down list, click on the letter template “Pick up Framing – Playful”.

    The text of the template is inserted in the body of the letter.

  5. Make any changes to the text of your letter. Use the Spelling button to perform a spell check on your letter before printing.

  1. When ready, click the Print button.

    A print preview appears.

  2. Click the Continue button.

    A Print dialog box appears

  3. Click Print (Mac) or OK (Windows).

    The screen returns to the Contacts screen.

How to Print a Bulk Mailing

Tip: If your mailing requires a custom find (e.g., All customers who live in a certain zip code), then it is easier to do the mailing from the Contacts file.
